Saint Brigid

You were a woman of peace.

You brought harmony where there was conflict.

You brought light to the darkness.

You brought hope to the downcast.

May the mantle of your peace cover those who are troubled and anxious,

and may peace be firmly rooted in our hearts and in our world.

Inspire us to act justly and to reverence all God has made.

Brigid you were a voice for the wounded and the weary.

Strengthen what is weak within us.

Calm us into a quietness that heals and listens.

May we grow each day into greater wholeness in mind, body and spirit.

Rathcoffey Fun Run – 11th February 2012

Rathcoffey GFC Senior Players Panel are embarking on an ambitious event which, as well as being a fun exercise is envisaged will raise some very worthwhile funds for needy charities. This event will take place on 11th February 2012 @ 11am and it is hoped to attract a very large number of entries. It will be run over a 10km course with a shorter route available for those who would prefer an easier option. All entrants are asked to take a donation card and raise funds for both Little Way Cancer Support Centre and TLC Cystic Fibrosis. (Sponsorship cards are available at Rathcoffey GAA club house).

INFORMATION

• This event is a 10km Fun Run. A 7.5km option will also be available to those wishing to take part but feel they are unable to complete 10km.

• A full road closure will not be in place. All road junctions will be marshaled, however participants are to be aware that at times there may be live traffic using the route.

• For safety, please do not stray from the route, the full route will be signposted and marshalled.

• If participants wish to retire at any stage, please inform a marshal close by.

• The run is to start and finish at Rathcoffey G.F.C. grounds where there will be car parking, changing room and shower facilities available.

• Registration Fee €20.00 (Please note you can register on the morning of the event @ 10 to 10.30).

• Minors under age 16 who wish to participate MUST be must be accompanied by an adult.

• Please see below a map of the route.
