Fr. Jimmy Doyle P.P – R.I.P

Published on October 24, 2020

All of us in Clane and Rathcoffey Parish are deeply saddened to hear of the sudden death of Fr. Jimmy Doyle, Parish Priest of Staplestown & Cooleragh when he was out walking near his home place of Clonegal, Co. Carlow. Jimmy was a great friend to Fr. Paul and a familiar face in our Parish at our Good Friday Stations of the Cross in Donadea Forest and at the annual Mass at the 9/11 monument in Donadea and at Easter Sunday Dawn Mass in Clane. Fr. Jimmy tended the grave of his uncle Fr. John Doyle, Parish Priest of Clane & Rathcoffey who died in 1973 and who is laid to rest in Clane Churchyard. Fr. Jimmy a former Carlow County footballer was a passionate Kildare supporter and a familiar face in St. Conleth’s Park, Newbridge. We extend our sympathy to his four sisters and extended family.
