The death has occurred of Carmel Shortt (née Marron), Clane, Co. Kildare, October 12th 2021, peacefully at home, beloved mother-in-law of the late Noel, deeply regretted by her loving husband Maurice, children Bríd, Fachtna, Traolach, Oscar and Olwen, son-in-law Brian, daughters-in-law Stephanie, Dara and Sinead, 17 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, brother Dessie, extended family and friends.

Due to current government guidelines regarding religious ceremonies, Carmel’s Funeral Mass will take place on Friday at 12 noon in St. Patrick and St. Brigid’s Church, Clane, followed by burial in Mainham cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to attend the funeral, but are reminded to be mindful of hand and cough etiquette and social distancing.
