World Meeting of Families – A Message from Bishop Denis

img_0081Reflections on a wonderful World Meeting of Families from Bishop Denis:

There was the concern around tickets, would we have enough tickets? There was the concern around walking, would it be too far? There was the concern around transport, where was the car park or bus park located? … and yet it all worked out with such prefect precision in the end.

World Meeting of Families 2018

img_0095Some of our parishioners participated in the World meeting of Families 2018 in Dublin, including the Congress in the RDS, the Opening Liturgy, which was held in our own Cathedral in Carlow, the Festival of Families in Croke Park, and the Closing Mass, presided over by Pope Francis in the Phoenix Park. All those who took part had a happy and joy filled experience, despite the rain, the long walks and the early starts! Many thanks to all who participated, and shared the journey as a parish family!
