Fifth Year Retreat

img_7830Fifth year students from Scoil Mhuire were offered the opportunity to take part in a retreat in October. They went on a prayer walk in Donadea Forest with Mr Breslin and Trish, followed by a very welcome cup of tea in the parish hall courtesy of the parish hospitality group, and then visited the church where Fr Paul met them for a tour. They then used the Convent Chapel for a time of reflection and a guided meditation led by Mr Breslin.

Pope John Paul II Retreat Day

img_7769-2Some of our young people who are taking part in the Pope John Paul II Awards attended the national retreat day in Knock Shrine at the end of September. This day allows them to take some time out to think about their faith journey and how their parish and faith involvement is part of their experience of the award programme.  We are delighted to have young people involved in parish life on so many levels, as Faith Friends, Ministers of the Word and Ministers of the Eucharist, in our Folk Group and in other ways.
